Update from Fran |
Hey everyone, I'm going to have to start this update in the typical fashion..."sorry about not updating this website in a long time". For future reference we update our myspace page way more often than this one so check that out too - www.myspace.com/visionthroughsound. As for gigs, we've played quite a few over the last few months, and we have quite a few more in the works. Right now our only confirmed show is Thursday Sept. 14th @ Club Show in New York City (West 41st. Street between 6th and Broadway). For those of you who came to our other show at this place, you know that it is an amazing venue and a great place to spend your time. Anyone who didn't come, I highly recommend seeing a show there, preferably ours. We are playing with The Blue Scene and Altamont, two cool Long Island bands. We are also planning a bunch of out of area shows. For anyone who is from upstate New York or Boston (maybe even Providence or New Jersey), hopefully we will be coming your way soon. Be ready. Lastly I would like to dole out a few thankyous to some very important people/groups. First, thanks to everyone who came to our shows this summer. We worked hard practicing and writing new songs and promoting and doing all that fun stuff, and you guys really made it pay off because we had some great times. A special thanks to everyone who was at the Village Pub for McManus' Birthday (August 22). The enthusiasm of the crowd while we were up there blew me away and to be honest I couldn't appreciate it more. Also, thanks to Rafer Guzman, who wrote a really nice review of our CD in Newsday (August 24th section B, or Lastly, thanks to all the other bands that made this summer great. Bands such as Fastizio, Nothing Plural, Counting to Zero, Exemption and many more made playing shows this summer an all around good time. I think people are finally starting to realize that they should come for the whole show and not just to watch one band and leave because there is some serious talent round these parts. Alright everyone that’s all I have for now. |

| November 21st | Update from Keebler Elf |
Hey folks, sorry about the website being all not updated for the past few weeks. Life's been crazy, you know? But yes, Vision Through Sound is still alive and well and still making beautiful music. They just had a show at a place called the Bitter End in the city this past Saturday. You can check out pictures from the show at the usual places. Also, don't forget to check out this huge VTS show this upcoming Saturday. You can get the whole deal from Andrew below. I've saw one of the commercials for this show the other night while eating some pork fried rice. And well, let's just say, WOW! So yeah, that's gonna be pretty coolio. It's in Levittown, and all you guys coming home for Turkey Day can be sure to check it out. And uh, yeah, keep coming back. Cuz there will be updates. Donkey Kong, OUT. |

| November 16th, 2005 | Update from Andrew |
| Hey everyone, it's been awhile,
since Terence has been handling most of the website updates in the past
few months, but I wanted to write you all and let you know that we've
been quite busy recently and i have a lot of news to share for you.
First and foremost, we want to thank everyone who's come to the recent
shows, over the summer you were all incredibly supportive and we were
able to draw crowds that we had never reached before, and we greatly
appreciate your constant backing of us. I'd also like to thank you all
for helping us get off to a great start in the city last month at the
Knitting Factory. On a day that saw both horrible weather and terror
threats on the subway, you still came out and supported us, so we just
wanted to personally extend our gratitude. So, we have finally gotten
another show in the city at the Bitter End, which is pretty historical
in the city, everyone from Bob Dylan to Neil Young to Tori Amos has
played there, so naturally it's an enormous honor. Will Norton, manager
of the Blue Scene, booked us at this show, so we're thanking him. Anyway,
the show is this saturday, 11/19/05 and we know it's a bit short notice,
but it is only $5 and you can see both us and the Blue Scene after 9
PM. So please come on down and it'll be a great time. Ok, now here's what I've been waiting to tell you. Recently, Director Jarret Bellucci contacted me about booking us to be a part of his Voicebox program. Jarret began listening to us through our producers, and apparently he's a big fan. So anyway, the idea behind the show is that it's going to be a half an hour long television show that focuses on unsigned bands. On Saturday 11/26/05, we will be playing a show at Club Ritual on Hempstead Turnpike in Levitown that will be filmed as well as interviews with us backstage before the show and made into one of the pilot episodes. I am not exactly positive where the show stands on getting on television, but supposedly in January it will atleast be on tv in New York and down south on Comcast and some other things, but they are trying to get it on FUSE. They are very ambitious and helpful people at Voicebox and we thank them for this great opportunity. Anyway, the tickets if you buy them from us at $10, they're $15 at the door, so please if you would like to go, please contact us through the myspace, or the forum. We hope to see you all down there, directions and all other info can be found at the "Shows" section of this website. In other news, we're preparing to return to the studio for some more new recordings over the Christmas Break. On friday 12/23/05, we'll be having a homecoming show at the Village Pub South with our good friends Fastizio and Exemption, amongst many other bands, so when I book all the details together for that show, another update shall be written. we enter the studio for the first session on Dec. 28-30 and we'll be rerecording "Moving to Catatonia" and "Something to that Defect" which have evolved greatly since Stoke Poges, so we feel that we need to do these songs their justice. Besides these songs, we have a handful of brand new songs that will be recorded also at some point during December and January, because we'll be doing two separate sessions, giving a few weeks inbetween to totally finish the new material which right now is coming along quite nicely but still needs to be fine tuned. we're hoping to atleast do one brand new song during the first session, but we'll see how it goes. both sessions will go like they did over the summer, where all the recording will take place over 3 days of intense work, so that we capture the immediacy and passion in one sitting. we feel this works for us. S o once again, thank you so much for your love and support, we hope to see you all at all of the upcoming shows. the Voicebox program has a commercial running for the show that airs everynight, and they send me the schedule for the channels that it's visible on, so if you'd like to check out the commercial, you can click here. A lso here are the websites for the upcoming shows: www.bitterend.com www.clubloaded.com www.vpsouth.com P eace and Love, Andrew |

| May 3rd, 2005 | Update from Fran |
| Whoa, okay so I was just floating around (which I have been doing since Sunday night) and I decided to float over to my computer to write a much needed update so here goes. First of all huge amounts of thanks and love and hugs and flowers to all the people who came to the show Sunday at the Knitting Factory, you guys were the most amazing crowd ever. You may or may not be happy to know that we won first place (yes the show was a contest) out of the 30 or so bands that played so we were all really excited about that, and I'd say that the crowd probably deserves half the credit for being loud and groovy and beautiful and just amazing in general. This part is important, the show that was scheduled to be May 14 has been moved back one week to May 21st. It will be at the Village Pub South in Amityville and it is our record release show so we will be playing a pretty nice set. So in conclusion, come down to the show and pick up a copy of Stoke Poges, if you do not already own it. There are also some other great bands playing including Exemption. You can contact us if you want tickets or just buy them at the door. Check the www.vpsouth.com for times, directions, etc. A few other things. First of all for any people from the city, be
Peace and Love. |

| March 10th, 2005 | Update from Fran |

March 19th - Wagner College (Staten Island) 7:00 pm Yes and if you did not notice let me point out again that we're playing at the Knitting Factory which is incredible. Guess whose playing there the night before us? I'll tell you, it's Phantom Planet. So Crazy. Anyway for those of you who don't know the knitting factory is an awesome club in the city, if you can definitely try to get down to that show, its going to be a lot of fun. Okay next is the album, which after months of toil, we are just about done with. It should be available sometime in late April or early May. It will be 10 songs and the title we've selected is Stoke Poges (if you want to hear the story listen to the interview below). Actually listen to that interview anyway cause its really funny. So yes the CD will be cool, we'll put up lyrics and the track list relatively soon. Lastly, um I have no clue where that guitar player thing came from, but I would like to remind anyone who hasn't already to join Myspace and be our friends, leave comments and talk to us, we'll love you for it (more than we already do). And if you do not want to do that then go to www.purevolume.com/visionthroughsound and listen/download some of our tracks. Also check the picture section if you want because there should be some brand new ones up soon. Peace and Love. |

Hello good people. A few quick things you may or may not want to know about the affairs of VTS. First of all thanks to everyone who came out to support at the Downtown. It was a pretty chill show seeing as it was a week night, but fun nonetheless. We do not have any future shows planned as of now, but that will probably change. In addition, if you all would like to listen to some recordings from our CD that we're working on you can either go to www.purevolume.com/visionthroughsound or even cooler you could go to www.myspace.com and check out our page by just searching for Vision Through Sound under the music section. If you don't have a my space account you should sign up, its free and pretty rad you can like leave us messages and whatnot. Finally on the issue of the album, we recorded it in two halves, there will be ten songs and the first five are older tunes that most of you probably know and they are all ready to go. We are just finishing up the second half right now as you read this. It has all been done in a real recording studio with our very amazing producers Sean and Dave so the quality is very good, and hopefully you will be able to enjoy it soon in the months to come.
